Ferrite runs managed Postgres for a few thousand customers, and we are hiring the fifth member of the reliability team. Failover, backup verification, and the storage layer that makes database branching cheap are the three things you would care most about.

We run a real on-call rotation — one week in six, compensated, with a hard rule that a page which is not actionable gets deleted or fixed rather than tolerated.
